Personality: Easton is charming, if nothing else. Perhaps it’s the accent or that ‘across-the-pond’ appeal that works in his favor…or the fact that his sometimes shaggy hair presses him well past the state of adorable into down right cute. Whatever the cause of such charisma, he has a firm grasp on it and knows how to wield it for the best results.

A genuinely good guy, he’s the first one to admit that he can get nearly anything he wants with a little demonstration of the charm he’s so known for and, when friends are involved, he’s happy to use it to their benefit as well. His loyalty knows no bounds to those that are close to him and several of those old-world qualities that used to define what made a truly great man have been ingrained upon him. He values respect, intelligence and honesty…the latter of which he sometimes demonstrates a little too much of and can get himself in quite a bit of trouble. One flash of that trademark smile, however, and he’s usually clear.

Easton is a hard worker, dedicated to his studies no matter what the subject and his university record speaks for himself. He’s incredibly proud of the strides he’s made and knows that he will make at Halcyon Halls. Perhaps most importantly, he’s incredibly easy to get along with. Miraculously untouched by tragedy in his young life, Easton still believes in giving people the benefit of the doubt until they’ve given him a reason to think ill of them. It’s a strategy that has earned him a wide and varied circle of friends that he treasures.

Personal Background: It was a beautiful English summer day when Easton graced his parents with his presence; the second child born to Elizabeth and Patrick Brellick, he fell into the family behind his eldest sister, Alixandria. Together the Brellick children experience an idyllic childhood – their home was just outside London in a small town that didn’t require locked doors and where everyone knew your name, your parents name…your life story. Alixandria and Easton attended a private school in city once they were both old enough, their parents ensuring that their children received the very best education that they could find. Patrick was a teacher at said school, instructing the secondary level students in English and Literature studies. Elizabeth was a French Professor at Oxford and together the two raised a pair of incredibly intelligent and witty young children.

Growing up, Easton’s favorite family member was his father’s father, Samuel. Heralded in the family for being ‘not quite all there,’ it was in private hours spent in his grandfather’s farmhouse that Easton’s education about his lineage began. Samuel spent summer after summer telling his young grandson the history of the Brellick mages, of their gifts connected to the environment and how important it was that they nurture them, let them grow and cultivate with respect. And to never, ever abuse them. This could not be stressed enough to young Easton; and so from his earliest years he understood how special his gifts were.

Samuel passed away just as Easton’s first abilities were starting to appear and it was only the journals he discovered hidden away in the old man’s home that allowed him to embrace his role as a mage as he matured. It was as if Samuel had left them just for him…detailed writings of what to expect, how to cope…of how to remember what truly mattered when faced with something that could make you feel as though you somehow were more important than anyone else who roamed the Earth. It was these journals that contained exercises to help Easton master his powers, to learn to control them…to let them develop and be nurtured. Even at such a young age the importance of his using his powers responsibly had been pounded into Easton, and so he took to this exercises on nearly a daily basis, wanting to ensure that he had complete control over his growing gift. Much of the credit for the man that Easton turned out to be can be given to his late grandfather and the legacy he instilled.

When he was 19, Easton decided he wanted to venture out, to see the world. University in America seemed the prime opportunity – Alixandria had gone off to SUNY-Albany a few years before and her younger brother had heard nothing but glowing reviews; and so just before the next year began, the school had gained another exchange student. Easton dove into his studies intensely, challenging himself with a difficult major and two side focuses: International Relations and French and Italian. His natural intelligence and hard work ethic made the challenge an achievable one. Coupled with his easy going personality, Easton had a handful of friends by the time he graduated.

After his time at SUNY-Albany, his student Visa expired and Easton was forced to return to London. He began attending Oxford soon after, seeking to attain his masters in International Relations and Business. It was in his third year in school that a letter from his grandfather arrived. It was dated a year prior to the man’s death and had clearly been sent by someone he trusted very much. In it, Samuel Brellick explained that, while his grandson was impressively intelligent, his true future lay in expanding his mage abilities and not in achieving further education. The letter was enough to encourage Easton to withdraw from Oxford – his grandfather had never steered him wrong before and he trusted his guidance even now.

Easton turned his attention to picking apart the journals his grandfather had left behind – pulling from them every bit of information, each detail that dealt with the mage lineage in the Brellick men. After that he turned to library research, spent hours on end reading myths, trying to discover just how his grandfather intended for him to utilize his gifts to their fullest. Perhaps this fevered study was just what Samuel had intended for his grandson – in the Oxford Graduate Library one afternoon, Easton found himself face to face with a Halcyon Hall recruiter. It seemed that Easton was not the only one to receive a letter from Samuel – the old man had contacted a friend who worked as a scout for the school, had told him of his grandson and the amazing gifts that resided in him. This initial meeting between the two consisted of a hushed, intense conversation about all that the school could offer Easton. It was the first sign he’d gotten in months since his withdrawal from graduate school and Easton seized it passionately. The decision seemed made for him long before the conversation had ever drawn to a close. Knowing that he could never expose the school and its true purpose to his family, Easton simply informed them that he intended to return to the states to complete his master’s degree. He wasn’t known for lying…why would they question what seemed like a perfectly normal explanation? And so within days he was packed and boarding a private plane headed towards Halycon Hall.

Weakness: Earth – his opposing element in the spectrum, a more powerful Airmage, normal human weaknesses.

Magical Abilities: Can find and manipulate air itself.
- Can create small breezes when no wind source exists – via his breath: this can lift small things – i.e.: blow stacks of papers loose, cause a door to slam, etc…
- Can manipulate existing breezes and increase their power: this is perhaps where he is strongest, but it also requires his concentration and focus. Easton tends to be able to double the strength of whatever existing air movement he reaches out to mentally, though something like hurricane/tornado strength winds would still be too much for him to rein in.
- Can dispel air sources: has the ability to kill off smaller winds completely. Larger winds are still too strong for him to control.

Any Training: The lessons he had as a child from his grandfather have proved to be an amazing help as he grows older and his abilities become stronger. However, he has had no real official training of any sort.

Special Skills: Due to the necessity of foreign language knowledge stressed by the European education system, Easton was already fluent in French by the time he transferred to SUNY-Albany. He took a few classes there to ensure his records could prove the depth of his studies, and then undertook Italian classes as well. By the time he’d graduated, he’d conquered both of the romance languages with an easy fluency.
